Announcement of Updates to the OHARA Optical Glass Sales Classifications for “Discontinued glass types” and “Special order glass types”in 2019

In recent years, OHARA has released a number of new optical glasses, such as “glasses for use in automotive camera lenses” and “glasses with improved processability ”, and OHARA has received favorable comments from our valued customers about these new materials.
On the other hand, there are some glasses for which the demand and usage has been significantly reduced due to market changes or other factors. For those glass types, OHARA changes the Sales Classification to “Discontinued glass type” or “Special order glass type”.
1. Shifting from “Recommended glass type” to “Special order glass type” [3 glass types]

These Optical Glass Sales Classification changes will be implemented as of May 1, 2019.
