S-NPH53
We developed the environmentally friendly optical glass S-NPH53 to have high refractive index and improved light transmission at shorter wavelengths.
Lead glass was traditionally used for optical systems which required materials with high refractive indices, high dispersion and good transmission in the short wavelength region.
S-NPH53 provides optical performance similar to our S-TIH53 glass, while providing better internal transmittance.
S-NPH53 also offers these features: low specific gravity, excellent chemical durability, high mechanical strength, and improved weathering resistance.
S-NPH53 can be supplied as large diameter blanks and is suitable for a wide range of applications.
