L-LAH85
We are proud to introduce our NEW L-LAH85, which has a high refractive-index, low dispersion and is a more economical version of L-LAH83. This glass can be used across a wide range of applications such as Polished Balls, Reheat Pressings and Saw Cut Centerless Ground Cylindrical Blanks.
Fine Gobs (Pre-forms using direct molding method)
High refractive index and low dispersion L-LAH83 was not available in a pre-formed Fine Gob. However, the NEW L-LAH85 was mainly developed to achieve the "L-LAH83 without the need for the polishing process". We approached this development from both elemental and technical aspects, and this successful development work has now allowed OHARA to supply L-LAH85 in Fine Gob form.
