Our low expansion glass was published on the cover of Laser Focus World.

OHARA's low expansion glass made the cover of the December 2008 issue of the photonics magazine Laser Focus World published in the United States.
The photo features the 8.4 meter diameter primary mirror blank for the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) of the United States which is scheduled to begin observation in 2013. This large astronomical telescope will be located in the Pachon mountains in Chile.
OHARA has supported the University of Arizona in the United States for more than 20 years through the supply of the low expansion glass that is used in their large diameter spin casting mirror laboratory.
