S-NPH53
September 5, 2005
We developed the environmentally friendly optical glass S-NPH53 to have high refractive-index and improved light transmission at shorter wavelengths. Although lead glass was typically used for optical systems which required these properties our new S-NPH53 is a suitable replacement glass. S-NPH53 also offers these features: low specific gravity, excellent chemical durability, high mechanical strength, and improved weathering resistance. S-NPH53 can be supplied as large diameter blanks and is suitable for a wide range of applications. L-LAH83 September 5, 2005
We are proud to have developed our L-LAH83 environmentally friendly optical glass which has the highest refractive-index and lowest dispersion, found in a low Transformation Temperature (Tg) glass. This new material was designed to have a very low glass transition point so it could be mold pressed very effectively. These properties make L-LAH83 an ideal glass for use in the molding of precision glass aspheres. This high index and low dispersion glass is suitable for use in molded components in compact optical systems, such as image pick-up lenses in digital cameras and lenses for optical communications.
